Telemedicine Virtual Visits

Telemedicine with our Virtual Visit Program

We have established a Telemedicine Virtual Visit Program for those patients who either need or prefer an alternative to in-office care and have a qualifying visit type or complaint. Our Virtual Visits are completed using a real-time audio/visual link with your Physician or Nurse Practitioner. The following visits or complaint may be eligible for Virtual Visits:

  • Pre-surgical consultations
  • Irregular bleeding
  • Contraception counseling
  • Menopausal symptoms
  • Prescription refills
  • Ordering lab work
  • Select obstetrical check-ups
  • Coronavirus questions relating to your health or pregnancy

Please note that not all visits will qualify for Telemedicine Virtual Visits and you and your provider will determine the best course for your individual needs.

Once you Have Been Approved for a Virtual Visit

  • You will receive an email to check in online. The Online check-in is required to proceed with the Virtual Visit.
  • We will call you about 10 min before your appointment time to start your appointment (subject to change should there be limited lead time for your visit).
  • During that call we will text you a link to get into your provider’s virtual waiting room.
  • Once you have completed your intake with the Medical Assistant, your provider will start your video call. Before Your Visit to Ensure Virtual Visit Success

Once you have been scheduled and before your appointment, we ask that you familiarize yourself with our telemedicine delivery platform. We use a web-based platform called to facilitate your real-time virtual visits. Ensure your personal device has a camera and microphone/speaker capabilities and simply connect to using your preferred web browser (we recommend Chrome or Safari). Perform a Pre-call Test provides an interactive test to ensure your microphone and camera are enabled on your device which will allow your visit to proceed smoothly and efficiently . Please visit on the personal device you plan to use for your appointment. If there are issues with your device, there are troubleshooting recommendations provided throughout the test.

Privacy and Security

We recommend you use headphones for privacy. uses your phone’s speaker if you are not using head phones. is a HIPAA secure application site, all data is encrypted and no patient information is stored on the site. uses the AES cipher with 128-bit keys to encrypt audio/video, and HMAC-SHA1 to verify data integrity.

Billing & Cost

Virtual visits are billed to the insurance company similar to a typical office visit. There may be a co-pay required by your insurance company. We will bill your insurance first. Once the claim is processed, if the insurance requires a co-pay, we will then send you statement. Well Woman / Annual visits cannot be performed or billed virtually.
