Beginning March 3rd, 2025, SWCWC will offer a new service for screening mammography patients which employs secondary screening through proven Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The AI algorithm behaves like a ‘’second pair of eyes’ helping the radiologist to detect small anomalies that might be otherwise undetectable to the naked eye.

Used in leading medical centers around the world, Transpara® from ScreenPoint Medical has reviewed more than six million breast images, significantly enhancing the accuracy and reliability of your screening mammogram evaluation. Designed to work in tandem with radiologists, research shows that up to 45% of interval cancers (cancers found between screening mammograms) can be found earlier using Transpara. Early cancer detection can translate into more effective and less invasive treatment options. Transpara has also been shown to reduce unnecessary additional imaging and reduce recall rates.

This optional service has a $29 out-of-pocket cost which is due at the time of your scheduled mammogram.
