Dr. Lisa Hollar is a native of Arizona and always dreamed of practicing medicine close to family and friends. She graduated with a B.S. in Zoology at Arizona State University followed by a year of research before moving to Chicago. She received her medical degree from The Chicago Medical School in 1996. Her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at the Sinai Samaritan Medical Center/ University of Wisconsin Medical School in Milwaukee in 2000. After enduring eight years of the Midwest winters, she returned to Arizona. She worked for 13 years in private practice before joining the most supportive and caring doctors at Southwest Contemporary Women’s Care.

Dr. Hollar is passionate about taking care of women through all the life stages. She especially enjoys the one-on-one teaching opportunities involving medical issues and hopes her patients always feel comfortable asking questions about their care. She most enjoys helping a couple through a pregnancy and seeing the joy of a new life. Her particular interest is in high-risk obstetrics.

Her family is very important to her, and she is always trying to achieve the perfect balance. She married her high school sweetheart in 1991. They have two incredible daughters. She enjoys being a soccer mom, both girls play, and her husband coaches. She loves being active in their many activities
