Michelle graduated with honors from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree and a minor in Family and Human Development. She worked as a registered nurse for six years focusing on labor and delivery, postpartum, gynecology and gynecology/oncology surgery. During that time, she also worked at a free-standing birthing center and graduated with honors from Frontier Nursing University with a Master of Science in Nursing degree.
Michelle began her career as a Certified Nurse Midwife at a busy hospital in San Jose, CA. She then returned to the Phoenix metro area, where she worked as a CNM focusing on inpatient care. With a commitment to providing safe, evidence-based midwifery care using a shared decision-making model with her patients, Michelle believes in listening to and empowering women and their families to provide a supported birthing experience.
Along with her husband and two beautiful daughters, Michelle lives in Chandler and enjoys staying active, being involved at her church, arts and crafts, and will rarely turn down a cup of coffee. Additionally, you’ll find Michelle expanding her midwifery skill set and knowledge by attending continuing education opportunities such as Spinning Babies® Workshops and other conferences in the community.
