Michelle Walker graduated with honors from Arizona State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree and a minor in Family and Human Development. She worked as a registered nurse for over six years focusing on labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecology/gynecology/oncology surgery. During that time,

Michelle also worked at an out-of-hospital birthing center. She graduated with honors from Frontier Nursing University in 2015 with a Master of Science Nursing degree.

Michelle began her career as a Certified Nurse Midwife at a busy hospital in San Jose, CA. She returned to Arizona where she worked as a CNM in the Phoenix metro area, focusing on inpatient care. She is thrilled to now be a part of the SWCWC Team!

Michelle believes in providing safe, evidence-based midwifery care using a shared decision-making model with her patients. She believes in listening to women and empowering them in using evidence-based practice to help women and their families have a supported birthing experience.

Michelle currently lives in Chandler with her husband and their two beautiful daughters. She enjoys staying active, being involved at her church, arts and crafts, and will rarely turn down a cup of coffee. Additionally, Michelle loves expanding her midwifery skill set and knowledge with continuing education opportunities such as attending Spinning Babies® Workshops and conferences in the community.
