Dr. Rick Wilson and his wife, Janae, are happy parents of four children and two more that have married into the family! They enjoy spending time with family and friends, active service in their church, and participating in activities with their children and grandchildren. Some even claim to have seen him as the Cowardly Lion in a recent stage production of “The Wizard of Oz” with his daughter. He mostly enjoys interacting with people and seeing them smile.

After serving a mission to Spain, Dr. Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish literature. Graduating from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1998, he and his family moved to Arizona and completed residency in OB/GYN at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Wilson enjoys surgery and focuses his practice in minimally invasive surgery and office-based procedures such as hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation. In addition, he enjoys advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery such as hysterectomy, myomectomy, pelvic masses and ovary cysts, fibroids, endometriosis, and Essure® removal. He is director of surgery services in the practice and has served as the medical director of Minimally Invasive Gynecology at Banner Desert Medical Center while also serving on the Peer Review Committee.
