Tanya Gravell is a board-certified nurse midwife who grew up in Yakima, Washington. Realizing a passion for healthcare in middle school, she became a registered nurse in 2005. Tanya completed her Associate of Science in Nursing Degree from Yakima Valley Community College and later a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University. The majority of her 14 year nursing career has been working within an ambulatory outpatient setting, most recently the nursing supervisor within an Obstetrics and Pediatric Clinic.

Tanya recently graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University where she is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. As a new graduate, Tanya has a strong desire to work in collaboration with the physicians at SWCWC and feels honored to participate in the care of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and all stages of life. She is devoted to patient-centered care that is evidence-based and personalized in partnership with women and their families. She also has a strong desire to improve health by transforming care and has a passion for Centering Pregnancy, a group prenatal care approach.

Tanya describes herself as a small town girl who believes integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking. A wife to her best friend and mother to 5 incredible children, 3 sons and 2 daughters, Tanya became a mom at the age of 17 which is an experience that directed her path to where she is today. It is also the reason she has a strong passion for providing care to the adolescent population.

In her spare time, Tanya enjoys traveling with her family, attending sporting events, golfing, snowboarding, hiking, and indoor cycling.
