BOTOX® and JUVEDERM® are injectable treatments designed to reverse the signs of aging, and in some cases, to enhance or balance facial features. At our office, all injections are done by an experienced physician with an artful eye, so you can be confident of a beautiful, natural and safe result.

Botox for Frown Lines, Crow’s Feet, and Forehead Lines

BOTOX Cosmetic injections temporarily reduce facial wrinkles such as frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. BOTOX can also give a subtle brow lift, opening the eyes and creating a more rested, fresh appearance. BOTOX is a neuromodulator that works by relaxing the specific facial muscles that cause the wrinkles and droopy eyelids. You begin to see results in a few days after treatment, and the results typically last three to four months. There is little discomfort and no downtime. Our BOTOX patients are delighted to see noticeably smoother, less wrinkled, and more youthful-looking skin.

Juvéderm Collection of Fillers

The JUVÉDERM collection of injectable fillers are made with a modified form of hyaluronic acid (HA), a water-loving molecule that naturally occurs in the human body. There are multiple slightly different, clear, gel-like Juvéderm products. Your doctor will select to best product from the collection based on your aesthetic goals.

Cheekbones and Mid-face: LIFT

As we age, our cheeks lose their youthful fullness, which can make your face look tired, sunken, and saggy. VOLUMA™ is specifically formulated to correct volume loss in the face. It instantly contours the cheekbone area and creates a natural-looking, subtle lift for a more youthful, refreshed appearance. Most people get the added benefits of softened lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth, as well as reduced bags under the eyes. Voluma lasts for up to two years, there is no downtime, and the results are immediate.

Lips and Lip Lines: PLUMP or SMOOTH

There are so many wonderful things fillers can do to improve the lips and lip area. Some people want to enhance naturally thin lips or simply want fuller, plumper lips. Some have lost volume in their lips due to the normal aging process, and only want to subtly replenish a little volume for a less-wrinkly, more hydrated appearance. Some have uneven or asymmetric lips and want to create balance. Some of our mature patients want to reverse some of the signs of aging, such as smile corners that have started to turn down and look unhappy or vertical lip lines around the mouth (often referred to as “smoker’s lip lines” even when they aren’t caused by smoking). JUVÉDERM XC and VOLBELLA™ are typically used to treat the lips and lip area. You get immediate results that last about 6 to 12 months depending on the type of product. There may be minor swelling after treating the lips that usually resolves in one to two days, so we recommend planning your activities accordingly.

Mid to Lower-Face: SMOOTH

For facial wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth, there is a variety of dermal fillers available. Your doctor will choose the best product for you based upon an assessment of your unique concerns and goals. Most often we use VOLLURE™, JUVÉDERM XC and JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus XC in these areas. These can soften deeper lines, like smile lines and creases (called nasolabial folds or “parenthesis lines”) that run from the base of the nose to the mouth, and “marionette lines” that extend from the mouth to the chin. The results last from 6 to 18 months, there is no downtime, and the results are instant and natural-looking.

You may wonder if cosmetic injections are painful. Most of our patients report only a mild stinging. To make the treatment as comfortable as possible, JUVÉDERM products contain lidocaine, which has an immediate numbing effect and reduces discomfort. In addition, we apply a topical numbing cream to more sensitive areas.
