The Human Papillomavirus (HPV), which can cause cervical cancer, is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections in the country. The good news is that it can be detected and treated early with regular testing. An HPV vaccine is also available and is recommended for teens and young adults. Talk to your Southwest Contemporary provider to see if the vaccine is right for you or your child.
